Course Overview

The Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt Training Course introduces the fundamental principles, tools, and techniques used to improve process efficiency, reduce waste, minimize defects, and enhance service quality. It provides participants with a practical understanding of how Lean and Six Sigma methodologies support continuous improvement across operational and administrative functions. The course covers process mapping, waste identification, basic statistical concepts, root cause analysis, performance measurement, and the DMAIC improvement framework. Participants learn how to recognize process inefficiencies, contribute to improvement projects, and apply structured problem-solving techniques within their areas of responsibility. Through practical exercises and case studies, participants develop the skills needed to support improvement teams, identify opportunities for operational improvement, and contribute to measurable gains in quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the fundamental principles of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify the eight common types of operational waste.
  • Apply basic process mapping and workflow analysis techniques.
  • Explain the DMAIC methodology and its five phases.
  • Use basic problem-solving and root cause analysis tools.
  • Understand fundamental process performance measures and quality indicators.
  • Participate effectively in Lean Six Sigma improvement projects.
  • Identify opportunities to reduce waste, defects, delays, and unnecessary costs.
