The Destination Marketing & Visitor Analytics Training Course equips marketing leaders and analysts in tourism authorities, boards, and destination management organizations with the skills needed to promote a destination and prove what that promotion achieves. Across the Gulf and Africa, new and established destinations compete for the same travelers through digital channels, and public marketing budgets face closer scrutiny from the governments that fund them. Marketing teams are expected to show not only reach and awareness but also real effects on arrivals, length of stay, spending, and the spread of visitors across regions. The course is tied to the specific work of tourism authorities rather than to the master planning of destinations or the marketing of a single hotel or attraction. Participants examine destination brand strategy, source market prioritization, traveler segmentation, campaign planning, partner and trade marketing, and work with airlines, tour operators, and online travel platforms, always from the position of a public body that markets a place it does not own. Participants then turn to visitor analytics: official tourism statistics, visitor surveys, mobility and payment data, web and social analytics, sentiment analysis, and the attribution of campaign results. Dashboards, data privacy, and the use of AI in marketing are addressed as management questions, and participants learn how to report to ministers and boards in terms those audiences can act on, separating what the data shows from what it cannot show. The course is delivered through destination case studies, market prioritization exercises, data analysis labs, and a final destination marketing workshop. Participants leave with a source market matrix, a visitor segmentation model, a campaign brief, a measurement framework, and a destination marketing plan they can adapt to their own organizations.
