FIDIC 2017 Red Book for Employers & Contractors Training Course
Goes deep into the 2017 Red Book edition, not the wider FIDIC suite: employer and contractor duties, notices, claims, determinations and the standing DAAB.
5 Days·Classroom
Prepares teams to build and evaluate construction claims on evidence: records, causation, delay analysis, and quantum, not general claims administration.

The Construction Claims Preparation & Evaluation Training Course equips quantity surveyors, contract managers, claims specializts, and the engineers who review their work with the practical skills needed to prepare a construction claim that withstands scrutiny, and to evaluate one objectively when it arrives. Major building, infrastructure, and energy projects across the Gulf and Africa run under complex contracts, often based on FIDIC conditions, where a sound entitlement can still fail because records are thin, causation is assumed, or the sums claimed cannot be traced to actual events. Unlike programs that survey claims administration and dispute resolution as a whole, this course focuses on preparation and evidence: what must be proved, which records prove it, and how an evaluator tests each step. Participants work through the chain every claim depends on: the event, the contractual basis, notice, causation, the effect on time, and the effect on cost. They examine contemporaneous records, daily reports, correspondence, programs, and site photographs, and learn to organize them so that a reader can follow a claim from assertion to proof. The technical core covers delay analysis methods, including as-planned versus as-built comparison, time impact analysis, and windows analysis, with the SCL Delay and Disruption Protocol as a reference point, together with concurrent delay and the critical path. On quantum, participants build and test prolongation costs, head office overhead formulas, disruption calculations such as the measured mile, acceleration costs, and financing charges, and they learn why global claims are vulnerable. The evaluator's side receives equal weight: how the Engineer or employer's team reviews a submission, requests particulars, reaches a determination under the FIDIC 1999 and 2017 editions, and records reasons that remain defensible later. The course is delivered through project case studies, record review exercises, delay analysis exercises, quantum calculations, mock evaluations, and a final claim preparation and evaluation workshop. Participants leave with a claim file structure, an evidence matrix, a delay analysis method selection guide, a quantum build-up template, and an evaluation checklist they can adapt to their own projects.

5 Days·Classroom
Focuses on how FIDIC Yellow and Silver Books allocate design-build and EPC risk: employer's requirements, fitness for purpose, ground risk, tests, lump sum.
5 Days·Classroom
Focuses on moving between the 1999 and 2017 FIDIC editions, since 1999 remains common: clause changes, transition risk and drafting Particular Conditions.
