Course Overview

The Telesales & Telemarketing Training Course equips telesales agents, call center sales staff, inside sales professionals, and their team leaders with the skills, structure, and confidence needed to sell and generate leads effectively over the phone while delivering a professional and positive customer experience. Selling by phone is demanding: without face-to-face cues, the agent must build rapport, hold attention, uncover needs, present value, handle objections, and gain commitment through voice alone, often within a short call and against resistance. In banks, telecommunications, insurance, retail, and many service and B2B organizations, skilled telesales and telemarketing drive revenue, generate and qualify leads, support campaigns, and strengthen customer relationships, while poor practice wastes leads, damages the brand, and frustrates customers. The course covers telesales and telemarketing comprehensively and practically. Participants learn the role of telesales and telemarketing, inbound and outbound selling, the differences between telesales and face-to-face selling, and the mindset and resilience needed for phone selling. The program then addresses call preparation and targeting, voice, tone, and telephone communication skills, opening calls and getting past gatekeepers, building rapport quickly, and structuring the call. Participants cover questioning and needs identification, presenting products and benefits persuasively, handling objections and rejection, upselling and cross-selling, and closing and confirming the sale. Participants also examine lead generation, qualification, and appointment setting, following scripts and call guides while sounding natural, compliance, consent, and ethical telemarketing practices, using CRM and call systems, managing performance through call metrics, and maintaining motivation and wellbeing in a high-volume environment. Practical call handling is emphasized throughout, including handling difficult calls and staying positive. The course is delivered through intensive call practice, recorded and live role plays, script and objection workshops, and call analysis with feedback. Participants leave with a call structure and opening guide, a questioning and needs discovery toolkit, an objection handling and rebuttal guide, a telesales script and call guide template, and a personal telesales performance improvement plan.
