The Supply Chain 4.0: IoT, Blockchain & Smart Technologies Training Course equips supply chain, logistics, procurement, and technology professionals with a clear, practical understanding of the smart technologies shaping the next generation of supply chains, and the ability to evaluate where these technologies can create real value. In government entities, ministries, healthcare systems, banks, energy and utility companies, manufacturing, retail, and distribution organizations, and large corporations, technologies such as the Internet of Things, blockchain, digital twins, artificial intelligence, robotics, and advanced connectivity are enabling new levels of visibility, traceability, automation, and responsiveness across the supply chain. At the same time, these technologies are surrounded by high expectations and considerable uncertainty. Organizations may struggle to separate genuine opportunities from hype, understand the technical foundations and limitations of each technology, or identify which use cases justify investment. Blockchain initiatives may be launched where a conventional database would suffice, IoT pilots may generate data that is never used, and smart warehouse projects may underestimate integration, data quality, cybersecurity, and change management requirements. Without a structured approach, investments in Supply Chain 4.0 may fail to deliver measurable benefits. This course provides a balanced, business-focused guide to Supply Chain 4.0. Participants learn the concepts of Industry 4.0 and Supply Chain 4.0, cyber-physical systems, and connected supply networks. The program covers IoT architecture, including sensors, connectivity options, edge and cloud computing, and IoT applications such as asset tracking, cold chain monitoring, fleet telematics, predictive maintenance, and smart warehousing, as well as identification and data capture technologies including barcodes, RFID, and global data standards for supply chain visibility. Participants then explore blockchain fundamentals, including distributed ledgers, permissioned and public networks, and smart contracts, and evaluate realistic supply chain use cases such as traceability, provenance, electronic trade documents, and pharmaceutical serialization, together with their limitations. The course also covers digital twins, artificial intelligence, autonomous mobile robots and warehouse automation, drones, additive manufacturing, augmented reality, and 5G connectivity, as well as cybersecurity for connected and operational technology environments, interoperability and data standards, business case development, pilot design and scaling, and privacy, ethics, and sustainability considerations. The course is delivered through an interactive, application-focused approach with technology demonstrations, case studies, use case evaluation workshops, and group exercises. Participants leave with a Supply Chain 4.0 readiness assessment, a technology fit evaluation framework, an IoT use case design, a blockchain suitability assessment, a cybersecurity checklist for connected supply chains, a pilot design, and a Supply Chain 4.0 roadmap for their organization.
