The Satellite TT&C (Telemetry, Tracking & Command) Systems Training Course provides specialized technical knowledge of the systems and procedures used to monitor satellite health, determine orbital position, and execute commands throughout a satellite's operational life. It focuses on the essential functions of telemetry acquisition, tracking, command transmission, and ground-based control required to maintain satellite safety and mission performance. The course examines TT&C architecture, spacecraft telemetry channels, command processing, tracking techniques, ground station interfaces, and communication links between satellites and mission control facilities. Participants explore how telemetry data provides information about spacecraft power systems, thermal conditions, attitude, propulsion, onboard computers, and subsystem status, enabling operators to assess spacecraft health and identify anomalies. Particular emphasis is placed on command verification, telemetry interpretation, tracking measurements, ranging, Doppler shift, orbit determination, and the procedures used to establish and maintain reliable satellite control links. Participants also examine command authorization, operational constraints, fault detection, and the coordination required between spacecraft engineering, ground station operations, and flight dynamics teams. Through practical exercises, simulated mission scenarios, and technical case studies, participants develop the skills required to interpret satellite telemetry, assess tracking information, understand command execution workflows, support routine satellite operations, and respond systematically to abnormal spacecraft conditions. The course also addresses operational safety, configuration control, and the importance of disciplined procedures in mission-critical satellite control environments.
