Course Overview

Real estate investment and private equity play a significant role in capital allocation, portfolio diversification, and long-term wealth creation. Successful investment decisions require a thorough understanding of property valuation, financial modelling, market dynamics, capital structures, and investment risks. Investors must also assess opportunities across different property sectors and determine how to create value throughout the investment lifecycle. This course explores the principles and practical techniques of real estate investment and private equity, covering investment analysis, property valuation, financial feasibility, cash flow forecasting, leveraged acquisitions, debt and equity structuring, and portfolio management. Participants will examine private equity investment vehicles, fund structures, due diligence processes, investment returns, and exit strategies, including acquisitions, asset repositioning, development, and property disposals. Through financial modelling exercises and investment case studies, participants will develop the ability to assess investment opportunities, calculate returns, evaluate financing alternatives, and identify key commercial and operational risks. The course also addresses investment governance, investor reporting, portfolio optimisation, and value creation strategies to support disciplined investment decisions and sustainable financial performance.
