Course Overview

Quality Circles are an effective approach to engaging employees in identifying operational problems, improving work processes, and strengthening quality performance. By bringing together employees who share common work responsibilities, organizations can draw on frontline experience, encourage collaborative problem-solving, and develop practical solutions that improve productivity, reduce errors, and support continuous improvement. This course explores the principles and implementation of Quality Circles, focusing on team formation, employee participation, structured problem-solving, data-based decision-making, and the evaluation of improvement initiatives. Participants will learn how to identify suitable improvement opportunities, facilitate team discussions, analyse root causes, use quality improvement tools, and present recommendations to management. The programme also examines leadership support, communication, employee motivation, and the organizational conditions needed to sustain effective participation. Through practical exercises and workplace-based case studies, participants will develop the skills to establish and facilitate Quality Circles, convert employee suggestions into actionable improvements, and measure the results of implemented solutions. The course supports organizations in building a participative quality culture where employees contribute actively to operational excellence, shared accountability, and sustainable performance improvement.
