The Project Quality Management & Quality Assurance Training Course equips project managers, quality professionals, engineers, and project team members with the principles, processes, and tools needed to plan, assure, control, and continuously improve quality throughout the project lifecycle. In government entities, ministries, public authorities, banks, healthcare systems, energy and utility companies, construction, engineering, manufacturing, and technology organizations, and large corporations, project quality directly affects safety, reliability, user satisfaction, operating costs, regulatory compliance, and reputation. Quality problems discovered late in a project or after handover are often expensive to correct and can undermine the value of the entire investment. Many projects treat quality as a final inspection activity rather than something that is planned and built in from the start. Quality requirements and acceptance criteria may be vague, quality plans may be generic documents with little practical use, and the difference between quality assurance and quality control may be misunderstood. Inspection and test plans may be incomplete, nonconformances may be recorded without effective root cause analysis and corrective action, and supplier and contractor quality may not be monitored adequately. Documentation needed for handover and operation may be incomplete, and lessons from quality issues may not be captured for future projects. This course provides a practical, structured approach to project quality management, informed by recognized quality management principles and international standards for quality management systems and quality management in projects. Participants learn core quality concepts, including the difference between quality and grade, conformance to requirements and fitness for purpose, and the cost of quality, including prevention, appraisal, and internal and external failure costs. The program covers quality planning, including defining quality requirements, standards, acceptance criteria, and metrics, and developing a project quality management plan. Participants then learn quality assurance activities, including process reviews, quality audits, and supplier quality assurance, and quality control activities, including inspections, testing, inspection and test plans with hold and witness points, factory and site acceptance testing, and nonconformance management. The course also addresses the seven basic quality tools, statistical process control fundamentals, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action, continuous improvement using PDCA, lean, and Six Sigma approaches, quality in design through design reviews, verification, validation, and requirements traceability, contractor and supplier quality management, quality documentation and records, handover and completion quality, quality in agile projects, quality metrics and reporting, and building a strong quality culture. The course is delivered through an interactive, application-focused approach with quality planning exercises, quality tool workshops, audit and inspection scenarios, root cause analysis practice, and case studies. Participants leave with a project quality management plan template, a quality requirements and acceptance criteria worksheet, an inspection and test plan template, a quality audit checklist, a nonconformance and corrective action report template, a set of quality tool templates, and a quality metrics dashboard design.
