Media protocol is essential for protecting institutional reputation, maintaining consistent public communication, and ensuring professional interaction with journalists during official events. Spokespersons and communication teams must understand how to manage media access, deliver accurate messages, respond to questions, and represent their organizations appropriately in formal and high-pressure situations. This course focuses on media coordination and spokesperson conduct during government ceremonies, diplomatic visits, press conferences, executive announcements, official receptions, and major institutional events. Participants will explore media accreditation, press access arrangements, interview scheduling, briefing materials, speaking protocols, message development, on-camera conduct, and coordination between protocol, communications, security, and event management teams. The programme also addresses challenging questions, sensitive information, misinformation, unexpected media attention, and the boundaries of authorized public statements. Through practical simulations and media scenarios, participants will strengthen their ability to prepare spokespersons, manage press interactions, maintain message consistency, and respond professionally under pressure. The course emphasizes accuracy, discretion, transparency, and alignment with institutional communication policies.
