  • Defining governance principles, accountability structures, delegated authority, and management oversight.

  • Reviewing recognized governance frameworks, including COBIT, and their application to organizational IT oversight.
  • Exploring the relevance of ISO/IEC 27001 and the NIST Cybersecurity Framework to information security governance and risk management.

  • Defining governance policies, risk assessment procedures, compliance responsibilities, and control review cycles.
  • Developing a unified risk and compliance reporting approach that supports consistent management decisions.
  • Establishing monitoring arrangements for risk indicators, control exceptions, compliance obligations, and corrective actions.
  • Integrating GRC activities with IT service management, project governance, change management, and business continuity.
  • Defining performance measures to evaluate risk reduction, control effectiveness, audit readiness, and compliance improvement.
  • Developing escalation mechanisms for material risks, regulatory issues, significant control failures, and overdue remediation.
