The ISPS Code & Port Facility Security Training Course provides practical knowledge of international maritime security requirements and their application in port facilities. It covers the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code, established under SOLAS Chapter XI-2, and its role in protecting vessels, cargo, personnel, and port infrastructure. The course examines port facility security assessments, security plans, access control, restricted areas, cargo protection, and incident response. Participants learn how to identify security risks, implement appropriate protective measures, and maintain effective security procedures. The programme also covers the responsibilities of Port Facility Security Officers (PFSOs), coordination with shipping companies and relevant authorities, security drills, audits, and compliance documentation. Practical exercises help participants apply these requirements to port operations and develop a focused security improvement plan.
