Government protocol and state ceremonies management require a thorough understanding of official precedence, ceremonial procedures, institutional responsibilities, and the formal standards governing high-level government engagements. Effective protocol management supports the professional representation of public institutions, ensures orderly official proceedings, and strengthens relations between government authorities, diplomatic missions, and international delegations. This course develops practical competencies in government protocol, state ceremonies planning, official precedence, VIP reception, delegation management, flag protocol, ceremonial seating, and the coordination of national and international events. Participants will explore the planning and execution of official visits, state receptions, inauguration ceremonies, award presentations, national celebrations, and other formal government occasions. The course also addresses protocol documentation, interdepartmental coordination, security considerations, and contingency planning. Through practical exercises and realistic scenarios, participants will learn to develop ceremony programmes, coordinate protocol teams, manage official guest movements, and maintain consistency with institutional procedures and applicable national requirements. The course is designed for government ministries, public authorities, protocol departments, and institutions responsible for organizing or supporting official state functions.
