Course Overview

Successful business relationships across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region and international markets depend on cultural awareness, professional etiquette, and an understanding of local business practices. Communication styles, relationship-building approaches, meeting conventions, hospitality expectations, and decision-making processes can vary across cultures, influencing negotiations, partnerships, and long-term commercial success. This course explores business etiquette and cross-cultural communication within GCC countries, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, and Oman, alongside broader international business environments. Participants will examine professional greetings, forms of address, relationship-building, meeting protocols, negotiation etiquette, business hospitality, dress expectations, communication styles, and the role of cultural values in professional interactions.
