Course Overview

This course explores how augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and metaverse technologies can support business training, employee development, operational simulations, and collaborative work. Participants learn to identify practical use cases, select suitable technologies, and assess their value against organizational objectives. The programme focuses on immersive learning design, virtual training environments, interactive simulations, implementation planning, performance measurement, and integration with existing learning and business systems. Participants develop a practical proposal for an immersive training solution aligned with organizational needs, budget constraints, and measurable learning outcomes.

Learning Objectives

  • Explain the capabilities and business applications of AR, VR, and metaverse technologies.
  • Distinguish between augmented, virtual, and mixed reality solutions.
  • Identify training activities that benefit from immersive and simulation-based learning.
  • Define learning objectives and user requirements for immersive training programmes.
  • Select appropriate devices, platforms, and development approaches.
  • Design interactive scenarios for technical, operational, and leadership training.
  • Evaluate integration requirements with learning management systems and enterprise applications.
  • Assess implementation costs, accessibility, privacy, and information security risks.
  • Establish performance indicators to measure learning effectiveness and business impact.
  • Develop an implementation roadmap for an immersive training initiative.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for learning and development managers, corporate trainers, HR professionals, digital transformation specialists, training designers, IT managers, and project leaders seeking to apply immersive technologies to workforce development and organizational learning. It is particularly relevant to professionals in government entities, banks, financial institutions, oil and gas companies, industrial facilities, engineering organizations, and large corporations where practical simulations, technical demonstrations, safety training, and complex operational procedures can benefit from immersive learning environments. No advanced AR or VR development experience is required.

Learning Outcomes

  • Upon completing the course, participants will be able to:
  • Evaluate AR, VR, and metaverse technologies against defined training requirements.
  • Identify suitable applications for immersive learning and operational simulation.
  • Develop user scenarios and learning journeys for virtual training environments.
  • Select appropriate hardware and software platforms for specific training objectives.
  • Define functional, technical, and accessibility requirements for immersive learning solutions.
  • Plan pilot projects and evaluate implementation feasibility.
  • Assess learner engagement, knowledge retention, task performance, and training transfer.
  • Identify privacy, cybersecurity, health, and operational risks associated with immersive technologies.
  • Estimate implementation resources and develop a business case.
  • Prepare an evaluation framework and roadmap for scaling immersive training programmes.
