Course Overview

The ERP Implementation & Consulting Training Course equips ERP project managers, functional and technical consultants, business analysts, and IT and transformation professionals with the methods, frameworks, and practical skills needed to plan, implement, and support enterprise resource planning systems successfully and to advise organizations through ERP-enabled transformation. ERP systems integrate finance, procurement, supply chain, human resources, manufacturing, and other functions on a single platform, and they are among the largest, most complex, and most business-critical technology investments an organization makes. In government entities, banks, healthcare systems, utilities, manufacturing, and large corporations, well-run ERP implementations streamline processes, improve data and control, and enable transformation, while poorly managed ones lead to overruns, disruption, and benefits that are never realized. The course covers the ERP journey from strategy and selection to implementation, go-live, and value realization, with a strong consulting perspective. Participants learn ERP concepts, modules, and deployment options including on-premise and cloud, the ERP business case and selection process, and implementation methodologies and lifecycles. The program then addresses program governance and the implementation team, business process analysis and the balance between standardization, configuration, and customization, requirements and fit-gap analysis, and solution design. Participants cover data migration, integration, and reporting, testing, including system integration and user acceptance testing, organizational change management, training, and user adoption, cutover, go-live, and hypercare, and post-implementation support and continuous improvement. Participants also examine ERP consulting skills, including stakeholder management, workshops, advising clients, and managing expectations, common causes of ERP failure and how to avoid them, vendor and system integrator management, and the impact of emerging technologies and AI on ERP. Concepts apply across major ERP platforms rather than a single product. The course is delivered through case studies, process and fit-gap workshops, implementation planning exercises, and go-live and change scenarios. Participants leave with an ERP implementation methodology guide, a fit-gap and requirements template, a data migration and cutover checklist, a change and training plan template, and an ERP project and benefits realization framework.
