Course Overview

The Digital Transformation Management Training Course equips leaders and professionals with the strategic and practical capabilities needed to plan, govern, and deliver digital transformation that creates measurable value. Government entities, ministries, banks, oil and gas companies, and large corporations are investing significantly in digital services, cloud platforms, data and analytics, automation, and artificial intelligence. Yet technology alone does not deliver transformation. Value is realized only when digital initiatives are anchored in strategy, redesign how services and operations work, are adopted by people, and are governed with discipline. Many organizations struggle with fragmented digital projects, unclear ownership between business and technology teams, systems that digitize existing inefficiencies rather than improving them, and investments whose benefits are difficult to demonstrate. This course addresses these challenges by providing a structured management approach that connects digital strategy, customer and process redesign, technology choices, data, people, and governance into one coherent program. Participants learn how to assess digital maturity, define a digital vision and roadmap aligned with organizational priorities, redesign customer and citizen journeys, digitize and automate processes, build a data-driven organization, evaluate emerging technologies realistically, and adopt agile ways of working. The program also covers the digital operating model, portfolio governance, cybersecurity and data privacy considerations, technology partner management, digital skills development, and benefits realization. Throughout the five days, participants apply each concept to a real or planned digital initiative in their own organization. They leave with a digital maturity assessment, a prioritized digital initiative portfolio, a customer journey redesign, a governance model, and a digital transformation roadmap ready for discussion with decision makers.

Learning Objectives

  • Analyze the drivers, scope, and success factors of digital transformation in the participant's sector and organization on Day 1.
  • Assess the organization's digital maturity across strategy, customer experience, processes, data, technology, people, and culture.
  • Develop a digital transformation vision and strategy that is explicitly aligned with organizational objectives and national or corporate priorities.
  • Design an improved customer or citizen journey that removes pain points and uses digital channels effectively.
  • Apply process analysis and redesign techniques to identify opportunities for digitization and automation before technology is selected.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including cloud, artificial intelligence, automation, and data analytics, against business value, readiness, cost, and risk.
  • Develop a data strategy outline that addresses data governance, quality, ownership, and use of analytics for decision making.
  • Design a digital operating model and governance structure that clarifies the roles of business, technology, and transformation teams.
  • Implement agile and iterative delivery approaches suitable for digital initiatives in regulated and complex environments.
  • Assess cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory considerations that must be built into digital initiatives from the start.
  • Develop a benefits realization framework with key performance indicators to track the value of digital investments.
  • Design a phased digital transformation roadmap for the participant's organization by the end of Day 5.

Who Should Attend

This course is designed for senior executives, directors, and department heads who sponsor or lead digital initiatives, as well as chief digital officers, heads of digital transformation, transformation office staff, and program and project managers responsible for delivering digital programs. It is also highly relevant for IT directors and managers, enterprise architects, business analysts, process improvement specialists, and data and analytics professionals who work at the intersection of business and technology. It is particularly valuable for professionals in ministries and government entities delivering digital government services, e-services platforms, and smart government initiatives; in banks and financial institutions leading digital banking, core system modernization, open banking, and customer experience programs; and in oil and gas and industrial organizations implementing digital oilfield solutions, asset performance management, predictive maintenance, and operational digitalization. Strategy, customer experience, risk, compliance, and HR leaders who shape the business case, governance, and people aspects of digital transformation will also benefit from this course.
