The Credit Control & Receivables Risk Management Training Course equips credit controllers, finance managers, and receivables professionals with practical methods to assess customer credit risk, set sound credit terms, collect receivables efficiently, and minimize bad debts while supporting sales and customer relationships. In energy, utilities, telecommunications, manufacturing, distribution, construction, healthcare, services, and government entities that bill customers or collect fees, receivables are often among the largest assets on the balance sheet, and weak credit control can quickly erode cash flow and profitability. The course covers the full credit and collections cycle. Participants learn how to design credit policies, onboard and assess customers using financial analysis, credit reports, and scoring, set credit limits and payment terms, and use security such as guarantees, letters of credit, and credit insurance. The program then addresses order-to-cash controls, invoicing accuracy and dispute resolution, segmented collection strategies and escalation, aging analysis and key receivables metrics, bad debt provisioning using expected credit loss principles, write-offs and legal recovery, receivables financing options, fraud risk, and automation and dashboards for credit control. The course is delivered through practical case studies, credit assessment and scoring exercises, collection role plays, and receivables analysis in Excel. Participants leave with a credit policy template, a customer credit assessment and scoring model, a collection strategy and escalation matrix, a receivables KPI dashboard, and an expected credit loss provisioning worksheet.
