The Climate Change & Its Impact on Public Health Training Course is a professional and practical program designed to develop a clear understanding of the relationship between climate change, environmental conditions, and public health. The course provides participants with structured approaches for identifying, assessing, and managing climate-related health risks affecting employees, communities, infrastructure, and organizational operations. Climate change is increasingly associated with changing patterns of extreme heat, flooding, drought, storms, air pollution, water stress, and other environmental pressures that can influence public health. This course examines both direct and indirect health impacts, including heat-related illness, air-quality-related health risks, water- and food-related health concerns, infectious diseases, and health consequences associated with climate-related emergencies. The course is particularly relevant to the Oil & Gas sector, where changing climatic conditions can influence workforce health, remote and offshore operations, industrial facilities, emergency response, water availability, environmental performance, and business continuity. Participants will explore practical approaches for integrating climate-related health considerations into HSE management, occupational health, environmental risk assessment, emergency preparedness, sustainability, and operational resilience. The program moves beyond climate awareness by focusing on practical risk management and adaptation. Participants will learn how to assess climate-related vulnerabilities, identify high-risk groups, establish monitoring indicators, develop adaptation measures, strengthen emergency preparedness, and communicate health risks effectively. Practical exercises and Oil & Gas-focused scenarios will enable participants to translate climate and public health information into actionable organizational strategies.
