The Chemical Laboratory Management & Quality Control Training Course equips laboratory managers, supervisors, analysts, and quality professionals with the knowledge and practical tools needed to manage chemical testing laboratories effectively, ensure the validity and reliability of results, and meet the requirements of recognized international laboratory quality standards. Chemical laboratories in oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, power, water and desalination, environmental monitoring, mining, manufacturing, food, pharmaceuticals, and government regulatory and research institutions provide results that drive product release, process control, compliance, customer acceptance, and public health decisions. Unreliable results, whether caused by poorly validated methods, uncalibrated equipment, weak quality control, data integrity lapses, or inadequate management systems, can lead to off-specification products, regulatory breaches, disputes, and loss of confidence. The course covers chemical laboratory management and quality from organization to continual improvement, informed by international standards for testing laboratory competence, good laboratory practice principles, and recognized guidance on method validation and measurement uncertainty. Participants learn laboratory organization, roles, workflows, resource and cost management, and laboratory information management systems, as well as the requirements of laboratory accreditation. The program then addresses method selection, validation, and verification, including accuracy, precision, linearity, limits of detection and quantitation, selectivity, and robustness, measurement uncertainty estimation and metrological traceability, equipment calibration, qualification, and maintenance, reference materials, and sampling and sample management. Participants also examine internal quality control using blanks, duplicates, spikes, check standards, and control charts, proficiency testing and interlaboratory comparisons, data integrity and records, nonconforming work and corrective action, internal audits and management review, risk-based thinking, staff competence, laboratory key performance indicators, and chemical safety, storage, and waste management. The course is delivered through method validation and uncertainty calculation exercises, control chart interpretation, audit simulations, and laboratory case studies. Participants leave with a method validation plan template, a measurement uncertainty calculation worksheet, an internal quality control and control chart template, a laboratory internal audit checklist, and a laboratory quality and performance improvement plan template.
