This advanced practical course provides a structured framework for measuring organisational carbon footprints and quantifying greenhouse gas emissions in accordance with ISO 14064. It focuses on converting energy, fuel, process, and operational activity data into reliable, traceable, and decision-ready emissions information. The programme covers the practical process of establishing greenhouse gas inventories, including organisational and operational boundaries, emissions source identification, activity data collection, emissions factors, calculation methodologies, data quality, uncertainty, documentation, and reporting. Participants will develop practical capabilities to calculate emissions from different operational sources, evaluate data quality, document assumptions, review inventory results, and prepare structured greenhouse gas reports that can support management decisions, compliance requirements, verification processes, and sustainability reporting. The course also connects carbon footprint measurement with emissions reduction and environmental performance management, enabling organisations to identify significant emission sources, prioritise reduction opportunities, establish meaningful performance indicators, and strengthen their readiness for greenhouse gas reporting and verification.
