Course Overview

This advanced, practical course provides a structured framework for managing aircraft airworthiness throughout the operational lifecycle. It focuses on the systems, responsibilities, procedures, and controls required to ensure aircraft remain technically compliant, safe, and suitable for continued operation. The program examines airworthiness management from the perspectives of maintenance planning, continuing airworthiness requirements, technical records, maintenance programs, defect control, configuration management, and regulatory compliance. Participants will develop a practical understanding of how technical information and maintenance decisions influence aircraft availability, safety, reliability, and operational continuity. Particular attention is given to airworthiness responsibilities, maintenance data, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, reliability monitoring, deferred defects, life-limited components, modifications and repairs, technical records, and coordination between operators, maintenance organizations, engineering teams, and regulatory authorities. Through case studies, technical reviews, maintenance planning exercises, and practical scenarios, participants will strengthen their ability to identify airworthiness risks, control technical status, evaluate maintenance requirements, and establish effective continuing airworthiness processes.

Learning Objectives

  • Analyze the fundamental principles and responsibilities of aircraft airworthiness management.
  • Evaluate continuing airworthiness requirements throughout the aircraft lifecycle.
  • Develop and review effective aircraft maintenance programs.
