Course Overview

Accounting for Managerial Decision Making equips managers and business professionals with the financial knowledge and analytical skills required to make informed, commercially sound decisions. By translating accounting information into meaningful business insights, the course helps participants understand how financial performance, costs, budgets, and profitability influence operational and strategic choices. The programme focuses on practical management accounting techniques, including cost behaviour analysis, cost-volume-profit analysis, budgeting, variance analysis, relevant costing, and investment appraisal. Participants learn to interpret financial reports, evaluate alternative courses of action, and assess the financial implications of decisions involving pricing, resource allocation, cost control, and business expansion. Through practical exercises and realistic business scenarios, participants develop a structured approach to using accounting data in managerial planning and performance evaluation.
